Our US office's location in the heart of New York City allows our agency and our clients access to many of the "key players" in the sports and entertainment industries, which we capitalize on through various BLAIL created and managed programs and events.

During the inaugural WNBA All Star Festivities in 1999, we worked hand in hand with the staff of the world famous Sylvia's Restaurant in Harlem to throw a star studded bash for our four All Star selections. The event brought together some of the top names in fashion, music, sports, entertainment and the media.

In 2002, we were retained by Youth, Inc. to arrange a "Battle of the Sexes" exhibition game to cap off the organization's 5th Annual Net Gain Tournament. The game pitted a squad of New York City businessmen and actor Chris O'Donnell, coached by LA Lakers legend Gail Goodrich against a talented group of professional female players including Shea Mahoney, Angela Zampella, Megan Compain, Holly Rilinger and Leah Cromer. The women's team, which prevailed by a narrow margin, was coached by Teresa Weatherspoon and Kym Hampton. The event raised over $500,000 to help fund educational and athletic programs in New York City and Los Angeles public schools.

In September 2003 we were pleased to join forces with master clinician Barry Mestel of Winning Ways Basketball and former NBA/New York Liberty/Washington Mystics Coach Richie Adubato to launch the 1st Annual Florida Invitational Women's Pro Evaluation Camp in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The camp has thrived in the years to follow, featuring top players from countries from around the world. As a direct result of the camps, players have received offers and subsequentially have been placed in countries such as Spain, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, Portugal, the Czech Republic, China, and Israel, just to name a few. For information on the next combine, please contact Winning Ways Inc. at 1-877-808-HOOP or hoops@winwaysinc.com.

Our collaboration with Winning Ways Inc. has also extended to a highly successful program that has brought some of Europe's top players and teams over to the States to train one on one with the Winning Ways staff. Anyone interested in participating in the program should contact Erica McKeon at emckeon@blail.com.

Over the past few years, BLAIL has also been very active in bringing top American coaches and players over to Europe to hold camps and clinics, as well as to serve as consultants to teams and federations. Speakers/clinicians include such notable names as World Champion coaches Van Chancellor and Kevin Cook, NBA and WNBA coach Richie Adubato and popular Tennessee Lady Vol player Brittany Jackson (See www.basketballireland.ie), just to name a few. With several of the WNBA's top coaches and legendary players recently signing on to participate in the program, the opportunities are endless for European teams looking to work with top level American clinicians.
